WEBUTTER THE BREAD WITH BUTTERhave spent the last few years homing their sound fusing together the industrial and metalcore genres alongside glam-rock and pop, bound together through their unique live performance and particularimagery. Merging their influences togethercreating a sound of their own.

GuitaristMarcel Neumann explains the reasoning behind the ‘quirky’ namegiven the band’s choice in sound and why it was chosen as a meansto create an image of ‘normality’. “We wanted to have a name that actually describes a very normal thing inlife - it's like the idea of a revolution against everything evil inthis kind of music. We love the emotion of this heavy sound, but noteverything has to be depicted as dead, rotten and dark”.

Havingalready shared the stage with the likes of Slipknot, ADayToRemember, Caliban and Crossfaithas well as festivals like Rock Am Ring, Wacken, Novarock, Tuska orGrozrock the band have really stepped into their comfort zone from alive perspective developing a stage presence that can match this oftheir peers.

WEBUTTER THE BREAD WITH BUTTER are a band who are very aware that their image, lighting and stage FXplay a big part in their musical output and believe this helpsencapsulate the audience. “Ourmusic wouldn't be the same without it”, continues Marcel, “eventhough this is much more expensive for us - we would rather be poorin a stadium full of flames and lights instead of rich in clubs withnothing than our instruments”.

However this does on occasion cause slight problems for the band like thetime they found themselves stopped at Germany’s border control forbeing a tonne over-weight in their van. Luckily this time around theywere able to hire another van to cater for the added equipment.Still, a small price to pay for the resulting live vision the bandwishes to take with them on tour.
