Johnnie Cleveland aka West One, is artist, and entrepreneur from the Bay Area and West Marin County. In addition to being his own manager and marketer, he is a song writer that records, performs, and promotes his own material and runs a small Multimedia Production Company Called Deaf Octave in Sausalito that specializes in music production and marketing. West One has done many shows throughout The Bay such as Mill Valleys Sweetwater Music Hall, Petaluma's Phoenix Theatre, Fairfax's 19th Broadway, and San Francisco's Club 6.

He is also a lyricist who produces and records himself and a few local musicians. West One delivers high energy performances mixed with live and pre-made beats, and always makes more than an effort to get the crowed involved in the action. Moreover, he has produced many tracks of his own, and over one hundred beats in the short time he’s been working on his craft. Besides making instrumentals and rapping, he also touches on bass guitar and the piano keys. With West One’s strong skill set, passionate stage presence, and a strong appetite to learn, he is well on his way to becoming a household name.

Born in San Francisco in 1986 and raised in Marin County, he started honing his creative talents in visual arts at a young age. Eventually he moved into writing poetry, that in time, formed into a love of writing rhymes in a rap style. He blends effortlessly what he knows and loves about music into his own creative vision and style. He started practicing making his own instrumentals, teaching himself what equipment to buy and how to use it. Growing up he would listen to many different genres of music. He has always had a love for music and art, listening to artists such as Nas, Immortal Technique, The Pharcyde, Del, Eminem, and of course Tupac and Biggie.

These hip hop artists, and many artists from other genres have given him tons of inspiration for writing and composing. He touches on many subjects, from the hard times people go through, to just rocking out on stage. In conclusion, the goals he has for his future are to become a master of his craft, travel and perform all over the world, make some great connections and see what life has to offer. In addition, if he ever gains the resources he needs as well, he would like to give back to art programs for youth and youth leaders.
